L/A- Tickets are now on sale for Inspired Voices, a journey of hope, the third annual concert and art exhibit to benefit Tri-County Mental Health Services. The 2008 event will take place on Saturday, June 7 at Lewiston’s Franco-American Heritage Center. It features top notch musical performances by an ensemble of Maine performers, as well as powerful contributions of stories, poems, music and artwork by individuals who have been consumers of services. In addition to the performances, the evening includes a Reception and Art Exhibit featuring works by clients of all ages, with many contributions from children who have been helped by the agency. The Reception begins at 6pm and the performance begins at 7pm. Video clips from last year’s show are available on the Tri-County Mental Health Services website at www.tcmhs.org
The Master of Ceremonies for this year’s Inspired Voices event is Andrew Harris, Executive Director of L/A Arts. British born and now a full time resident of Maine, Andrew is a long time professional actor, and has performed on both sides of ‘The Pond’ after theatre school and working in London. Andrew promises a lively show that will both touch your heart and entertain you. Leading Sponsors are Healey & Associates, Isaacson & Raymond Attorneys and Counselors at Law, and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. For tickets, call the L/A Arts Box office at 782-7228 or call 755-0036 x 105. Ticket prices are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and Senior/Student tickets are only $10.
Proceeds from the event will support mental health services and supports for children, adults, and elders. Tri-County Mental Health Services is one of Maine’s most respected and progressive agencies dealing with the psychological and social well-being of children, adults, and elders.
