When tragedy strikes, members of the Community Trauma Response Team (CTRT) respond.
The Community Trauma Response Team (CTRT) represents an integrated psycho-educational process which is designed to prevent and/or mitigate the adverse psychological reactions that so often occur after a traumatic event. Tragedies, deaths, serious injuries, accidents, hostage situations, natural disasters, and threatening situations - these events are known as "Critical Incidents." Sometimes an event is so traumatic or overwhelming that people experience significant stress reactions. Community Trauma Response Team was created and specifically designed to prevent or mitigate the development of acute stress reactions of those involved with such incidents.
CTRT members will respond anywhere withing the TCMHS service area (Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford, Cumberland Counties).
CTRT is....
